Packaging direction for Malibu California's premiere brewery.

What started out as just a merch & apparel collection for a new brewery ended up with us defining the entire visual system and packaging design across their product lineup.

 The goal was to create a premium, yet timeless, packaging system to coincide with their apparel that brings to life the essence of the brand and presents a quality impression to the customer. 

Instant Classic The creative direction for the identity focused on celebrating the beauty and hospitality of Malibu, California. This direction pays homage to the Malibu community while embracing the premium quality of the product. 

The packaging utilizes a color palette of muted tones with pops of color for a more old-school vibe. The typography is neatly-organized with a mixture of typefaces to mimic classic typesetting practices.

The illustration featured on all of the packaging is a vintage painterly depiction of local Zuni beach with their world-famous lifeguard stands.

The cans and packaging elements are currently on the press in production and will be updated with lifestyle photos as they hit our hands!

Inspired by the friendly, warm and laid back vibe of the Malibu community, the apparel aesthetic utilizes clean, simple graphics in combination with high quality details.
