PROJECT
For their 5-year anniversary, Springdale sought out to separate themselves from their parent brand, Jack's Abbey Pilsners, and embrace their bright, playful, and straight-up strange brew strategy.
With a focus on fermentation-forward beers, Springdale pushed boundaries and redefined beer as we know it. The taproom offers innovative, creative ales and barrel-aged beers, bringing energy, community, and an adventurous spirit to the beer scene in Framingham.

Before / After The Springdale logo came full of cheesy vector distress, varying line weights, and a clear lack of visual hierarchy. We brought it into the modern-day, but maintained existing brand equity by refining the recognizable ice saws, modernizing the type and using an arch shape to emphasize the playful nature the brand is known for.

The packaging system features a unique combination of printed cans with a paper label adhered on top. This enabled the manufacturers to produce unique patterned cans that seamlessly differentiated the offerings. The bright colors stand out on the shelves and the consistent layout system makes the label information legible amongst the busier patterns.

The identity system combines modern icons and patterns with a retro accent type.
